NVR, Nordiska Värdepappersregistret, is a digital share ledger service for limited companies that are not CSD-registered companies. It records share ledger events such as changes of ownership, share issues and splits, so the ownership picture is kept up to date.
The board remains responsible for the share ledger under the Swedish Companies Act. Authorized persons log in with BankID and make changes, and shareholders can see their holdings in a digital equity account. The history is retained, which helps in due diligence.
