A non-CSD company (Swedish: kupongbolag) is a limited company that is not a CSD-registered company (avstämningsbolag). This means its shares are not connected to a central securities depository such as Euroclear. The name comes from the dividend coupons that used to accompany share certificates. Most Swedish limited companies are non-CSD companies.
In a non-CSD company, the board is responsible for keeping, retaining and making the share ledger available. Share certificates may be issued. NVR offers a digital share ledger for companies that are not CSD-registered.
